Eastside Christian School is so proud, yet humbled by the Lord’s blessings on so many of our former student-athletes. Here is a look at some of our former Lions and their accomplishments in their respective fields of play.
In July 2017, Carly White, who recently finished her freshman year at Liberty University, was named as one of the Top 25 Freshman in Women's Lacrosse by Inside Lacrosse.
Michael Chavis, who was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 1st Round of the 2014 MLB Draft, has been rising through the ranks of the Red Sox Minor League system. In 2017, he started the season with the Salem Red Sox, Boston's High A affiliate as their starting Third Baseman. He tore up the Carolina League throughout the first half of the season and led the league in Batting, HRs and RBI for almost the entire first half. As you would suspect, he was elected to the Carolina League All Star Game and he was named as the MVP of the game. Michael was then promoted to the Red Sox AA team in Portland, Maine and has been continuing his great work for Portland. Bleacher Report lists Michael as Boston's #3 prospect in their organization.
