6th Grade Field Trip to Camp Winshape
During the first quarter of the school year, the 6th grade class goes on an overnight field trip to WinShape Wilderness.  This field trip comprised of low-ropes and high-ropes elements is designed to teach students to work together and share ideas.  It is on this field trip that the 6th graders proudly wear their bright green F.R.O.G. (Fully Rely On God) shirt to remind them to trust in God as they challenge themselves to complete the ropes course.

7th Grade Field Trip to Jekyll Island, Georgia
During the spring of each year, the 7th grader class travels to Jekyll Island, Georgia.  Jekyll Island is one of our barrier islands where our students experience a hands-on coverage of the entire science curriculum they have studied throughout the year. Our stay on Jekyll is three days and two nights during which time we hike through the marsh, the maritime forest, and the beach. We also dissect fish, learn about the coastal concerns of erosion, experience our night vision in a night walk, do some surf fishing and have a fantastic time around a camp fire. This is a fabulous trip for our students and creates memories that will last for years to come.

8th Grade Field Trip to Washington, DC
One of the highlights of the 8th grade year at Eastside Christian School is the spring trip to our nation’s capital. This is a three night, four day trip that students look forward to throughout their middle school years. While in Washington, D.C. students not only view the history that they have studied, they also form deeper bonds with their classmates. The agenda includes visiting all of the memorials, touring the Capitol and the White House, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and visiting Mt. Vernon. Many of our alumni continue to speak of this trip as one of the best experiences of their lives.
