The visual arts program at Eastside Christian School seeks to impart a biblical world and life view by first and foremost teaching students that being made in God’s image imbues each one of us a creative spirit.  This creative spirit is honed through the teaching of discipline-based art education theory or DBAE.  This theory provides a well-rounded view of art by studying any given work using four different disciplines—Art Production, Art History, Art Criticism, and Aesthetics.  Students, kindergarten through eighth grade, work with many different mediums to develop a variety of skills.  Those mediums include such areas as painting, drawing, sculpting, ceramics, and printmaking. The visual art program goals are to introduce students to more technological based art (i.e. graphic design) and to expose students to more art and art production possibilities outside and inside the classroom.

"For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." Ephesians 2:10
