Eastside Christian High School

Equipping the next generation of leaders with excellence, character, and faith

Eastside Christian School is thrilled to announce the addition of a high school beginning in the 2023-24 school year. This expansion has been a matter of prayer for many years, and the Eastside community is excited for the opportunity to invest four more years into its students. Watch the video below for more on the heart and motivation for expanding to high school.

Details of graduation requirements, scheduling, and the roll out plan are listed below. If you are interested in receiving updates about the high school or have questions, please use the button below.

Graduation Requirements

Eastside’s curriculum and course offering will provide a college-preparatory foundation that will enable students to excel as they move beyond high school. Graduation in the state of Georgia requires 23 total credits over four years, and Eastside’s schedule is structured to provide 32 total credits — nine credits beyond the state graduation requirement. These additional credits give students consistent Bible classes throughout their high school journey and open opportunities to go deeper into specialization areas.

Athletics are also an important offering in the high school experience. Eastside competes in the GAPPS conference, and sports will be added each year as numbers permit. Students in 7th and 8th grade may play on high school varsity teams as needed or desired.

Block Schedule

The high school will operate on an alternating block schedule which consists of four 90-minute classes every other day, for a total of 8 classes in the year. This structure provides longer classroom experiences per subject, year-long exposure to all classes offered in a school year, and additional credit hours.

Tenets

Eastside Christian School has identified 10 major tenets to help live a God-honoring life and fundamental principles we feel students should understand and put into practice during their time at ECS and beyond. The tenets are incorporated and addressed throughout all subject areas, with a major instructional focus in our "Principles of Success" high school course track. This curricular pathway includes two courses focused on teaching and applying the tenets in your life and culminates with internship courses and opportunities in the 11th and 12th grade years.

The 10 Tenets are:

  1. Faith

  2. Mindset

  3. Health/Well-being/Energy

  4. Loving relationships

  5. Financial freedom
