Average staff teaching experience
Average student/teacher ratio
Serving learners in kindergarten through 8th grade, we meet the needs of the average to the excelling student by providing an experience that stimulates the development of values consistent with the Christian faith in a rigorous academic setting. Our traditional curriculum is enhanced with the Responsive Classroom methodology, and augmented with other academic support programs such as Reaching Outstanding Academic Results (R.O.A.R.) and the Discovery Program.
Compared on national norms, Eastside Christian School standardized testing scores cluster around the 88th percentile. Additionally, our seventh grade students participate in the Duke Talent Identification Program and our fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students participate in the Duke Tip Program.
Beyond strong academics, our low student-to-teacher ratio allows the opportunity for our teachers to get to know students and their families on a personal basis. Providing a warm family atmosphere is a high priority at Eastside Christian School.
